There were close to 700 attempts to ban library books during the first eight months of this year. The American Library Association said this week that those attempts targeted more than 19-hundred titles. That's 20-percent more than the first eight months of 2022. The association said most of the titles that were targeted this year were written by or about MINORITIES AND the LGBTQ community.
