New Jersey is expanding African American studies for advanced high school students. Governor Murphy says Advanced Placement African American Studies classes will be taught in 26 high schools across the state next year. The course is in its first stage of a two-year pilot and is currently only taught in one New Jersey school. Governor Murphy made the announcement at Science Park High School in Newark, adding New Jersey will proudly teach its kids that Black History is American History.
