Construction is set to begin on the new 100-million-dollar Regal Mile Studios in the South Shore neighborhood. Mayor Lightfoot joined city, community and business leaders for a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday. The Regal Mile Studios will have five soundstages, a gym, cafeteria and recreation space and is expected to open next year. Officials hope the studio will help make Chicago the "Hollywood of the Midwest."
